Although we offer state-of-the-art high bandwith internet connectivity to the world, we can take, filter and prioritise messages on your behalf, providing a human firewall and a secure ‘cocoon’ for you to rest and recover. The strictest confidentiality is guaranteed and signed contractual documentation can be provided to ensure your privacy.
You can arrive with whoever you choose; on your own, with your partner and family, your PA, your personal chef, bodyguards, or whatever your entourage, we will accommodate them either at the Club House, or in our own equally upmarket local accommodation acquired for our employees and those of our clients.
‘Can’t’ is not a word in our vocabulary. If you can dream it, we can do it. Our services our infinite, and we can source a variety of local specialists and experts to cater for your specific needs, who you can either visit or will be brought to the Club House. Our tours of the local area are fully customised with a knowledgeable local guide, and are designed around your personal interests, lifestyle and hobbies.
Entertainment
Knysna Town offers a wide range of superb restaurants offering local and international cuisine, many with enchanting views over the Lagoon. Local pubs offer ‘live music’ and a range of gaming activities, while nightclubs will keep you dancing into the early hours of the morning! A driver and transport is available on request.
Leisure Activities in Knysna
Day trips are offered to the desert, wineries, mountains, or to the Knysna town and idyllic local waterfront in our our own fleet of 4x4, offroad motorcycles and saloon vehicles, with the Club House’s own experienced local tour guide.
Motorcycle rides with our enduro bikes or road bike, in the woods, in the desert or on beautiful country roads through the spectacular mountains. Barbecues in-house or at the beach are available at the request of guests
Cooking together in the Club House.
Bungee jumping from the world’s highest commercial bridge as per the Guiness Book of records, the Bloukrans Bridge at Tsitsikama, at a height of 216m which also includes a tour of the area and a video of your jump.
Play golf on some of the world’s most famous courses including the exclusive Simola Golf Estate Course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Abseiling on the Western Heads in the Featherbed Nature Reserve 121 m above sea level and is one of the highest abseil centres in the world.
Boat trips on the lagoon, sunset cruises with champagne and oysters, and day sailing trips on a yacht on the Knysna Lagoon or out on the open sea.
Jungle tours on steel ropes through the trees some 30 metres above the forest floor.
Elephant park visits at Addo Elephant Park or smaller parks cloth to Knysna
Monkey Park, snake farm, Birds of Eden and a wild cat park, where you can even stroke tame cheetahs!
Canoeing and kayaking on the many lakes and rivers around Knysna which are closed to motorised boats.
Mountain Biking and Cycling - Knysna is a paradise both for mountain bikers and road cyclists with top of the range bicycles available for rent.
Paragliding and hang gliding off the cliffs at Brenton-on-Sea and or at nearby Wilderness.
Horse Riding - Knysna has many beautiful riding trails. Local Horse riding schools offer guided rides in the forest, on the coast, in the fynbos region and in the mountains.
Surfing - The beaches of Buffalo Bay and St.Francis are a paradise for surfers, offering some of the most famous breaks in the world. Surfboards and wetsuits are available for rent.
Scuba Diving - diving from the shore is offered on the Eastern Knysna Head where one can dive the Paquita wreck or even catch a glimpse of the world-famous Knysna Seahorse.
Whale Watching - In the season from July to November, whales can be seen in large numbers from the shores of the Garden Route, and dolphins can be seen throughout the year.
Hiking - the vast undisturbed sandy beaches and the numerous forests in the area offer a range of hiking trails and short walks.
Yachts – day sails on a variety of single-hull and luxury catamarans are offered on the Knysna Lagoon and the Indian Ocean.
Kite surfing is offered on the Knysna lagoon and on the nearby beaches.
Powerboat Racing can be arranged on the lagoon or in a nearby protected bay on the ocean. Fishing in the numerous rivers and lakes, or deep sea fishing is also available.
Motocross and Enduro racing and 4x4 tracks are some of the most challenging offered in South Africa.
Paintball is offered by a number of local companies.
Archery and shooting ranges are available, with trained instructors and a choice of bows and fire-arms.
Brewery – visit and have a tour of the local Mitchells brewery, one of only 3 independent breweries left in the country, with a choice of 8 varieties of local beers on offer.

Judas Square Rastafarian Community in Knysna is famous in South Africa and one of the few authentic self-sustaining rastafarian communities in the world, and the Club House is able to offer a unique and specialist tour of the community, where we are able to arrange private meetings with the “elders“ and spiritual leaders of the community. A number of documentaries have been made of the community and aired nationally and worldwide.
